Hey guys, I'm Bridget Daly for ClevverMusic at our Hollywood studio. The top thirteen contestants on American Idol performed hits from their own individual idols this week. And now you can hear them on iTunes! The group of hopefuls got the once in a lifetime opportunity to work with huge producers under the guidance of Jimmy Iovine, like Rock Mafia, Rodney Jerkins, Don Was, Jim Jonsin, Ron Fair, and "Tricky" Stewart. In addition to performing their choice hits on the show, the contestants then recorded studio versions of the tracks.
Those are now available on iTunes. The 13 individual tracks and compilation album, which sells for $7.99, are the first to be released on the 19 Recordings/Interscope label. Executive producer Simon Fuller said in a press release that the Season 10 Top 13 finalists have already got America talking. Will you be buying any of the studio versions from the contestants?
